Dorwinion is a warm land of vineyards on the north-western marches of the Sea of Rhûn, known to the north almost entirely through its wine, which came up the rivers to Lake-town and filled the cellars of the Elvenking of Mirkwood. Little else is recorded of it, and its people never appear in the tales.
